- Step-by-step explanations and pedagogical reasoning
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for photo and handwriting analysis
- Exercise generation and downloadable PDF files (available on Teacher Pro plan)
- Handwriting canvas and drawing tools
The Service is designed as a learning assistant and educational supplement. It does not replace formal education, accredited teaching, schools, universities, or professional tutoring.
AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
All solutions, explanations, and exercises are generated by artificial intelligence and are subject to the following limitations:
- AI-generated solutions may contain errors, inaccuracies, or incomplete information
- Solutions are not reviewed by human experts before delivery
- Users must independently verify all AI-generated content
- The Service is not suitable for high-stakes assessments, professional work, or situations where accuracy is critical
- AI outputs reflect the training data and may not represent current educational standards or methodologies
Users assume full responsibility for verifying the accuracy of all AI-generated content before relying on it for academic, professional, or personal purposes.
EU AI Act Transparency
In compliance with the European Union AI Act, we disclose that this Service uses AI systems for content generation. These systems operate without human oversight, and their outputs should be treated as suggestions requiring verification. We are committed to transparency regarding AI capabilities and limitations.
5. User Accounts
Some features require creating an account. Users are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information
- Maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials
- All activity occurring under their account
- Promptly notifying us of any unauthorized use
Accounts may be suspended, restricted, or terminated if misuse, abuse, or violation of these Terms is detected.
Upon account closure or termination, you may request complete data deletion by contacting yb.athens@gmail.com. We will delete your personal data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
6. Subscriptions, Payments, and Usage Limits
Mathimatikos.xyz offers three subscription tiers: Free, Student Pro, and Teacher Pro. Each tier includes specific features and usage limits.
Paid plans renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis unless canceled. Users may cancel their subscription at any time, and their access will continue until the end of the current billing period. Pricing and plan details are available on the pricing page and may be updated with prior notice.
All payments are processed securely by Revolut, our payment provider. Mathimatikos.xyz does not store or process credit card information.
Usage Limits and Rate Limiting
Each subscription tier includes specific usage limits to ensure fair access and platform stability:
- Free: 5 problem solves per week, all input methods
- Student Pro: 50 problem solves per week, PDF export, priority AI processing
- Teacher Pro: 100 problem solves per week, problem generation, PDF export with branding
Usage limits reset weekly as specified. Exceeding limits may temporarily restrict access to certain features until the next reset period. Attempts to circumvent usage limits through multiple accounts or automated tools constitute a violation of these Terms.
Fair Use Policy and Abuse Prevention
To prevent abuse of the Service and Refund Policy, we enforce a Fair Use Policy:
We define 'Extensive Use' as patterns of activity inconsistent with normal human learning or reasonable personal use (e.g., automated scraping, sharing account credentials, or consuming >20% of the content library within a short timeframe).
If an account exhibits Extensive Use or violates this Fair Use Policy within the 14-day refund cooling-off period, the Service is considered fully consumed. In such cases, we reserve the right to deny refund requests and terminate the account immediately.
7. Third-Party AI Processing
The Service uses external AI Providers to generate mathematical solutions, perform OCR, and create exercises. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Your input data (text, images, handwriting) will be transmitted to AI Providers for processing
- AI Providers process data transiently and do not permanently store user content
- Data transmission occurs over encrypted connections (TLS/SSL)
- We select AI Providers based on their data protection and privacy commitments
- AI Providers operate under data processing agreements that comply with GDPR and applicable data protection laws
We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of AI Providers, but we take reasonable steps to ensure they meet our data protection standards.
8. Intellectual Property

All content, design elements, branding, trademarks, service marks, logos, graphics, animations, text, source code, and software associated with Mathimatikos.xyz are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the Service without our express written permission.
User Content
Content uploaded by Users (such as problem images or handwriting) remains the property of the User. By uploading Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and transmit your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
AI-Generated Content
Solutions, explanations, and exercises generated by AI through the Service are provided for your personal, non-commercial educational use. You may not redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit AI-generated content without our written permission.
9. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
Users agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Attempt to disrupt, damage, interfere with, or compromise the security of the Service or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or scrapers to access, extract, or harvest data from the Service
- Copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the Service
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or evade suspension
- Engage in 'systematic harvesting' of content or solutions for offline storage or distribution
- Use the Service for academic dishonesty, cheating on exams, or submitting AI-generated work as your own
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Commercially exploit the Service or AI-generated content without written authorization
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice. We reserve the right to report illegal activity to appropriate authorities.

Limitation of Liability

- We are not liable for loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
- Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater
- We are not responsible for errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content
- We are not liable for damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated solutions for high-stakes assessments, professional work, or critical decision-making
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mathimatikos.xyz, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must discontinue use of the Service.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and the European Union, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece, except where EU consumer protection law provides for jurisdiction in your place of residence.
Before initiating formal proceedings, parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation to resolve disputes.
